2023 ‘possibly Valentines’ gift set

Influences: While I’m not sure if this is a Valentine’s set – being available in February and beyond – it has all the potential to be one. Alongside the koi carp motif, there’s a rather lovely silver outlined corset on the brown cardboard band.

Influences: A printed canvas bag featuring a rather familiar motif from a past Classique release. Here, you can spot the koi from 2013’s summer fragrance and its sarong as well as some other typical artwork…

2023 Miniature set for her

Influences: A set of three miniatures with a similar fragrance mix to the 2020 Airlines set. Inside sit a trio of miniature bottles – one of which is Classique, one La Belle EDP, one Scandal EDP. The artwork on the sleeve is typically tattoo-inspired.

Influences: The first of what appears to be an annual Pride series (2023 will see a bottle emblazoned with ‘Get Used To It’) this silver bottle is dressed in a T-shirt with the classic French motto altered to Liberté, Égalite and Sexualite (instead of Fraternité), with a rainbow trim at the bottom.

The T-shirt is explained to be a vintage JPG ready-to-wear design.

2022 ‘padded’ Christmas gift set

Year: 2022

Influences: Similar to the puffer jacket collector’s edition of the same year, this set features a ‘puffy’ cover, which is actually made of metal. It features a similar brown cardboard wrap to the 2020 Lovely Holidays set. Inside is a little more disappointing, with a black card insert sitting on top of the products.

2022 Christmas Collector Edition

Influences: This year’s Christmas collector’s edition is something of a departure from recent years. Gone are the knits, replaced by a distinctly more contemporary puffer jacket complete with press stud fastening. However, the slide open case does echo 2021’s collectors release.

2022 La Belle Fleur Terrible EDP Légère

Year: 2022

Category: Special edition

Influences: La Belle Terrible’s bottle and tin take their inspiration from JPG’s 2010/11 Fall-Winter Ready to Wear Fashion Collection (this is even printed on the tin).

To which end, the tin is a riot of colour, with birds, insects and embroidery style roses dancing their way across it.

Not to be outdone, the bottle even features real embroidery attached to it. As with La Belle, it sits in a red velvet base. Marked 2021 but available in 2022.
